The Burmese rupee was the currency of Burma between 1852 and 1952.

Obverse: Portrait of King George VI, in profile to left, in full regalia, wearing the robes of the Star of India. The denomination of the note five rupees is printed in large type size at the center.
Reverse: The denominations of the note in eight different languages are printed at the center. The Burmese script “ngwe dinga nga pya” signifying five silver coins is located at the fourth line. The numeral number 5 is inside the panel on the left and the watermark window with  Seal of the Reserve Bank of India  is on the right. The numeral value of the note is printed at top right and bottom left corner.
