Romania 20 Lei banknote 1895 Banca Nationale a Romaniei
Obverse: At the bottom, a young man with a hammer (personification industry) at left and Mercury holds his caduceus in his left hand (personification trade) surrounded by industrial and agricultural items. At left and right of the central allegory, two altars quadrifrontes with high base which is figuratively number 20 in an oval cartouche, inscribed in a cordiform decor. The altar with the inscription "ROMANIA". The gables of the arches are decorated with the Coat of arms of the Kingdom of Romania.
Reverse: Bust of Roman Emperor Trajan at center.
Watermark: value of 20 in left-hand side medallion and Profile of the Roman Emperor Trajan in right-hand side medallion.
