Venezuela 10 Bolivares banknote 1929 issued by the Banco Comercial de Maracaibo
Obverse: In the center, portrait of General Rafael Urdaneta inside an oval. On each side, the denomination value "10" within a guilloche. Above, the issuer name "BANCO COMERCIAL DE MARACAIBO" - "COMPAÑÍA ANÓNIMA". Below, the denomination in words "DIEZ BOLIVARES" and the payment clause "pagara al portador en sus oficinas en dinero en efectivo" (will pay to the bearer in the office in cash). In each corner, the denomination value "10" within a guilloche. On the bottom, the signatures zone with the value in words "DIEZ" (ten). On the left, the date filling space "Maracaibo, __________ 19__". On the right, the legend of the capitalization amount "CAPITAL Bs 2.000.000".
Reverse: Design in green. In the center, allegorical of a Gaucho chasing cows. Above, the issuer name "BANCO COMERCIAL DE MARACAIBO". Below, "COMPAÑÍA ANÓNIMA". On each side, the denomination value "10" within a guilloche. In upper corners, the denomination value "10" within a guilloche. In the bottom corners the denomination value in roman "X" (10).

Rafael José Urdaneta y Faría (1788–1845) was a Venezuelan General and hero of the Spanish American wars of independence in several countries in northern South America. Urdaneta, was often referred to as "el Brillante" ("The Brilliant") in Venezuelan historiography.
