The Queen is wearing the George IV State Diadem, created for the coronation of George IV in 1820. Coat of arms of the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland at upper center. Sable antelope at lower left.
Reverse: Victoria Falls on the Zambezi river - one of Rhodesia's (Zambia and Zimbabwe) premier tourist attractions and an example of Rhodesia's natural beauty. The falls were named after Queen Victoria by English explorer Jonathan Livingstone, the first European to see them.
