Obverse: The head of Liberty at right, Mexican golden eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus devouring a snake (Coat of arms of Mexico) at left. In the top, the issuer name "EL BANCO DEL ESTADO DE MÉXICO".
Reverse: In the center, vignette of a steam passenger train, on each side the denomination value "100" within a guilloche, on each side of Railway vignette the issuer name "EL BANCO DEL ESTADO DE MÉXICO".
