Rs 100 below watermark window and Hindi Ru. 100 (RU. - Abbreviation of Rupees in Hindi) below Ashoka Pillar. Relief underprint of 100 with RUPEES across it on left of signature and stylised RBI monogram to the right. Relief underprint 100 RS beneath upper serial number panel and RBI underprint in lower serial number panel. Hirakud Dam is built across the Mahanadi River, about 15 km from Sambalpur in the state of Odisha in India. Behind the dam extends a lake, Hirakud Reservoir, 55 km long. It is one of the first major multipurpose river valley projects started after India's independence.
