Obverse: Portrait of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar at right and Imperial Emblem of Iran during Pahlavi Dynasty (Lion and Sun with the Kiani Crown) at left. Regarding the hand-stamp, the banknote is valuable in Tehran only.
Reverse: Imperial Emblem of Persia at centre. Centered on top THE IMPERIAL BANK OF PERSIA in an arc and the value in words TWO TOMANS at lower centre panel, the value in figures 2 at each of the four corners. English script at the top: PAYABLE at TEHERAN ONLY.
