Obverse: Portrait of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar at right and Imperial Emblem of Iran during Pahlavi Dynasty (Lion and Sun with the Kiani Crown) at left. Persian script at the top and its English translation at the bottom: PAYABLE at YEZD ONLY.
Reverse: Imperial Emblem of Persia at centre. Centered on top THE IMPERIAL BANK OF PERSIA in an arc and the value in words FIVE TOMANS at lower centre panel, the value in figures 5 at each of the four corners.

Note that in the early issues of the banknotes, watermark was not used.
Regarding the hand-stamp, the banknote is valuable in Yezd only.
