Obverse: Divided into three parts. In the middle is an inside view of the Prophet's Mosque. At the top is the name of SAMA in Arabic, and at the bottom is the value of the note. To the right is a picture of King Faisal and the undertaking of the Agency to pay the value of the note. To the left is the water mark, above which appears the number and date of the Royal Decree by virtue of which the note was issued and the name of King during whose reign it was issued. The face includes also the serial number, the security thread and the signatures of the Minister of Finance and the Governor.
Reverse: Bears another inside view of the Prophet's Mosque, the name of SAMA and the value of the note in English, the water mark, the Kingdom's emblem and an octagonal shape.
