Obverse: Portrait General Jose Maria Orellana Pinto at left, Lake Atitlan and the volcanoes in background and Quetzal Bird on pillar at left.  In the top, the issuer name "BANCO CENTRAL DE GUATEMALA". In each corner, the denomination value "10" within a guilloche.
Reverse: Amatitan bridge at center and value "10" in oval guilloche at right.  In the top, the issuer name "BANCO CENTRAL DE GUATEMALA".

Jose Maria Orellana Pinto (July 11, 1872 - September 26, 1926) was a political and military Guatemala. He was chief of staff of licensed President Manuel Estrada Cabrera and President of Guatemala between 1921 and 1926, after overthrowing the Conservative Unionist President Carlos Herrera. During his rule was instituted to Quetzal as currency Guatemala. Orellana Pinto died in 1926, at fifty-four years and under suspicious circumstances. He was buried in the Guatemalan capital with state honors.
