Obverse: The portrait of a gypsy woman on the left, entitled "Haidee" was engraved by Sukeichi Oyama in 1893. The attractive profile of Liberty was engraved by Alfred Jones in 1894. Value in ornate guilloche at center and in each corner. In the top, the issuer name "EL BANCO MERCANTIL DE YUCATAN". Overprint "Banco Peninsular Mexicano".
Reverse: Value in ornate guilloche at left and right.
